Diving on a reef at night is like visiting a completely different city after midnight. Daytime inhabitants, such as parrotfish, seek shelter to sleep in crevices, while hunters and nocturnal creatures come out to explore. Your flashlight becomes the center of the universe, focusing your attention on every detail and revealing colors that sunlight obscures during the day. Get ready for fascinating encounters with color-changing octopuses, lobsters walking along the bottom, giant hermit crabs, and, if you turn off your flashlight for a moment, the incredible magic of bioluminescence, where your every movement creates a trail of bright light in the water.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I need a special certification to dive at night?
A specialty certification is not required, but you do need to be at least a certified Open Water Diver and feel comfortable with your diving skills. It's an incredible experience, but it's not recommended as one of your first dives after becoming certified.
Isn't it dangerous to dive in the dark?
With the right preparation and guide, it's very safe. We use powerful flashlights, backup equipment, and follow strict safety procedures. The sense of mystery is part of the excitement, but we always dive within safe limits.
What happens if my flashlight fails?
Safety comes first. All divers, including the guide, carry a backup flashlight. It is part of the standard equipment for a safe night dive.
Will we see different animals than during the day?
Absolutely! Nighttime is when invertebrates come out to play. It's your best chance to see octopuses, squids, lobsters, shrimp, and crabs in full swing—creatures that tend to hide during the day.
